Handheld Vibration Meter

The Handheld Vibration Meter is a portable instrument for monitoring and logging vibration on rotating machinery, helping catch a developing fault before it turns into a breakdown. Readings are taken with a hand-held probe fitted with a piezoelectric accelerometer - the most sensitive sensor type available for this kind of check, with a built-in filter that cuts out audio pickup and other unwanted frequencies, giving a usable response across 600 to 60,000 RPM.

The NKVibro83 reads Displacement in microns pk-pk over a 0–2000 micron range. The NKVibro93 adds Velocity measurement in mm/sec pk, derived directly from displacement against frequency - so severity can be read off directly, without having to cross-check against the machine's running speed.

Both models carry a 3½ digit LCD display with a reading-freeze facility, run on two 9V batteries, and meet the accuracy requirements of ISO 2954. Supplied in a carry case for field use.
